WHAT DO YOU LIKE BEST ABOUT BEING A DESIGNER? I am truly passionate about knitwear, textures and colour – particularly the combination of colours and the unique dynamic they create.
IF YOU DIDN'T LIVE IN LONDON YOU WOULD LIVE IN...? Paris.
WHAT DOES PARIS HAVE THAT LONDON DOESN'T? Terrace cafés.
WHAT DOES LONDON HAVE THAT PARIS DOESN'T? Eccentricity.
WHAT IS A NEW GREAT PLACE THAT YOU HAVE DISCOVERED IN LONDON? Paper Dress – a vintage shop in Hackney Central.
WHICH LONDON NEIGHBOURHOOD HAS THE MOST INSPIRATIONAL STYLE? I love the aesthetic of Orthodox Jewish women’s traditional wear that can be seen in North and East London. I also love how the old ladies dress in London – ‘the English grandmother’ I like to call it – they have the best coats.
WHAT IS ONE OF YOUR FAVOURITE FASHION MOMENTS? When I saw the Lanvin exhibition at the Musée Galliera in Paris.
TOP STYLE TIP? Always accesorise.
TOP STYLE PEEVE? White socks.
YOUR FAVOURITE FASHION READ? Lula magazine.
FAVOURITE DECADE? 1960s
BEST-DRESSED WOMAN IN HISTORY? Jackie Kennedy
FAVOURITE PIECE FROM CHINTI AND PARKER SS16: The Pintuck Maxi Dress – I would wear it with flat sandals and a cardigan – and a little silk scarf [naturally].
WHO EMBODIES THE CHINTI AND PARKER BRAND? Alexa Chung, Emma Watson and Charlotte Gainsbourg.
IDEAL LAZY SUNDAY? First, brunch – avocado on toast with poached eggs. Then, playing cards with friends while Nina Simone is playing. And a bit of white wine - Sancerre.
FIVE THINGS YOU CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT? Espresso, the Bus Times app, FaceTime, my Chanel Beige perfume, and my collection of classic shirts.
TRAVEL DESTINATION YOU ARE ALWAYS HAPPY TO RETURN TO? Tokyo. My boyfriend is there. Ha, and the food and fashion are also good.
GUILTY PLEASURE? Thai back massage. I could get one every day.
YOUR LAST MEAL WOULD BE: Grilled salmon infused with garlic and a side of roasted potatoes.
LAST FILM YOU SAW? Anomalisa.
Autumn/Winter '16 will be Florence's first collection for Chinti and Parker. Stay tuned.
