Chic Fix: Festival Fashion

In what feels like overnight, festival fashion has become a cult style movement, influencing beyond those who attend the festivals. Of the bunch, Indio, California's Coachella is king, where actresses and models including Diane Kruger and Kate Bosworth gather to showcase their festival style game, making the event part-music festival, part-giant fashion editorial.

The good news: the look is actually easy to tap into. Festival style ranges from classic English (raincoat, denim cut-offs, wellies) to extreme boho (flowing ponchos, short-shorts, headpieces) and everything in between, allowing anyone to experiment for a more liberal take on their everyday style. Whether you'll be attending a festival or not, the summer months are perfect for taking advantage of this opportunity and bring festival-appeal into your look. As a rule of thumb, layers, shorts, and flowing silhouettes of any kind will get you there.

Coachella was in April, but most of this year's key festivals are coming up over the next few months, with some pretty exciting line-ups. One thing's for sure, Take Me To Church singer Hozier will be busy.
