SS16 Style: How To Style Trainers Now
Even millennials will remember that sweet era in the 90s when The Fresh Prince of Bel Air was the hottest show on telly, mix tapes reigned, and you could wear sneakers with everything. From Nike Cortez to Converse, there was nothing better than a new pair of sneaks - especially when the rest of your outfit wasn't athletic. A cute dress with trainers spoke of cool confidence, whatever your age.
The bad news? Time has flown. The good news? Time has flown - just enough for this nonchalant street-smart mood to return with a vengeance. You can now, again, wear trainers with everything. To mark the launch of our first shoe range, here are some of our favourite trainer looks:
DRESS-ING UP For the ultimate contrast, a girlie dress with trainers is always a winning combination. We love Hanneli Mustaparta's flirty approach as well as the shirt-dress high-tops pairing.

SLIP-ONS AND THE CITY Laidback and chic, slip-ons convey ease. Loved by everyone from Alessandra Ambrosia (centre) to blogger Stella Wants To Die (left), slip-ons are perfect for spring/summer city looks.
SOPHISTICATE-IT Pairing trainers with a cute dress and throwing in some elevated accessories in the style of Man Repeller/Leandra Medine (left) and blogger Sincerely Jules proves our point. Rooted in modern femininity, one doesn't have to try so hard.
BOYZONE Apart from wearing sneakers with dresses for contrast, you can also embrace a more modern take on trainer-wear by pairing with boyfriend jeans. To balance, top with an elegant piece - such as a pinstripe blazer a la Mira Duma (centre) or Leandra (left).
MIDDLE GROUND And for a look that's distinctly contemporary-chic, style your sneaks with a midi-skirt. This offbeat duo was seen (and loved!) at every fashion week this past season. photos: pinterest.com, Who What Wear, naimabarcelona.com
