Founders Anna & Rachael’s Guide to Nautical Style
While an effortless nautical influence has always been a part of the Chinti DNA, this Spring/Summer was a no-holds-barred ode to the sailor’s life. Why did we fall hard and fast for sea-worthy styles again? Besides the fact that it reminds us of our favourite coastal holidays – without a doubt one of the best things about summer – anchors and vintage details add a maritime twist to our classics in a fresh way. Time to get all decked-out.

We’ve included breezy details from the uniforms of vintage mariners such as gold buttons on sweaters, nautical rope appliqué on shorts and culottes, as well as the ‘Hello Sailor’ slogan as a tongue-in-cheek nod to the theme.
For a sleek literal reference, naval elements from the French and British include the anchor motifs on knitwear and jersey, further setting the tone for a summer adventure.
Tiny charming pintucks bring about a heritage touch to our voluminous shirt-dresses and floaty separates – a light reference to Victorian England on modern shapes.
In cheerful rainbow hues, our 3D enamel Star Sweaters allowed us to play with textures and put a happy-chic spin on Chinti stars.
WATERY HEART PRINT
We’ve updated one of our favourite motifs in an artful painterly print to tap into summer’s spontaneous mood. The white print on our signature primary colour palette achieves the striking contrast we love.
Simple-yet-standout trainers for spring/summer to pair with the season’s crisp dresses and everything else, you’ll easily win the effortless-chic game.
