Inside Our First Pop-Up Store
On 14 November 2018 the doors opened to our first pop-op store, a beautiful space in Westbourne Grove, London.
Showcasing our latest collections, the pop-up store featured our signature cashmere and ready-to-wear styles.
The store housed exclusive collaborations, including Hello Kitty and Caroline Popham, and our timeless capsule collection of Essentials: 100% cashmere classics in staple silhouettes. Visitors could find sumptuously soft sleepwear and luxurious home furnishings for cosy nights in, luxe loungewear, and must-have accessories. What did our founders have to say? We sat down with Anna and Rachael to hear more about this exciting store opening.
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO OPEN A POP-UP STORE, AND IN NOTTING HILL NO LESS?
As the brand has evolved over the last few years, we are incredibly proud of the collections and extremely excited about the strength of our new ready-to-wear lines. We felt a pop up store was a natural evolution and the perfect way to represent all that we have worked towards by showcasing the entire collection in one physical space. While we cannot ignore the importance of online, the “wow” effect of seeing a complete collection in-person is not to be underestimated. We are excited to share this with our customers and celebrate all the team has worked towards.
Notting Hill we felt was the perfect location: it’s inclusive; it embodies diversity, colours, and is symbolic of the elevated yet playful side of the brand that we are so proud of. There is a unique energy around Westbourne Grove during holiday season, and we are thrilled to be part of this.
WHAT CAN WE EXPECT?
The full world of Chinti & Parker! Knits, silks, colour: all together it is a lovely surprise! We even rarely see everything together, it’s a real treat…a new world to discover.
ARE THERE ANY KEY PIECES TO KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR?
There’s so many to choose from! But if we had to pick our favourites, [for Rachael] it’s the Twin Heart silks, which are an ode to Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet. What’s not to love? [For Anna] it’s the Markham colour chevron sweater that currently sits proudly in our new store’s window, paired with the navy high-waisted pants. The playful combinations of cashmere and silks are such a fun and versatile option for the season, multiple looks in 1 take us from day to night time, lucky for us as we are often running with very little time!
ANY UPCOMING EVENTS PLANNED FOR THE HOLIDAYS?
Absolutely! We want customers to feel they are entering our world. We will be hosting some intimate dinners for friends of the brand and bespoke events where customers will have the unique opportunity to personalise their Chinti pieces, old and new. In December we're partnering with Wardrobe ICONS to help customers style our ready-to-wear pieces in a cool, contemporary way. In the New Year we've a few more surprises (literally) in store.
